Clothes...it wears out, it tears and it goes out of style!
And with children, pants quickly get holes.
But we don't always have the means to replace them.
Fortunately, there is a trick that all our grandmothers knew to save money easily.
To repair worn or torn clothes, just get down to sewing. You don't even need to be a pro or have a machine! Watch:

1. Get a sewing kit.
2. Hem pants and skirts using this technique to make them sturdy.
3. Learn how to easily sew on a button.
4. Customize your old clothes or worn out clothes.
5. Use iron-on patches to fix a small hole, like these cool patches for a wool, cashmere or cotton jacket or sweater.
6. Sew on vintage patches perfect for repairing children's torn pants.
And there you have it, you have made significant savings by repairing your worn or torn clothes :-)
If I know how to sew, I can quickly and efficiently mend my damaged clothes, modify them, customize them.
If I don't know how to sew, it's easy for me to find a seamstress around me or in my neighborhood, who can do these little miracles themselves.
I can also go to a retouchery , which will always be much more profitable than throwing away my garment and buying a new one.
When the children have grown up, I still keep their pants, so that my seamstress can make bermuda shorts or shorts for the following summer.
It all depends on how I use my clothes, and if I use a lot.
For me, still, it's fine. But if you saw how quickly my son ruins his pants! I won up to 20% out of my clothes budget, just for him!
Hems, retouching, shortening... on average in an alteration shop or at a seamstress, you spend €20 per garment.
When we see that now a pair of trousers or a sweater are worth between 25 and 50 €, we can easily save 10 to 20 € per garment, i.e. at the end of the year approximately 150 € for 10 repaired clothes.
Not to mention that throwing away a piece of clothing is wasteful and creates additional waste.
