Before you run buy new school supplies for back to school, take stock of school supplies from previous years that could be reused or recycled.
You will notice that many items from previous years are easily retrievable.
It's easy to mend a schoolbag, evenly resize used colored pencils, reuse a notebook where only a few pages are written, or even reuse glue that isn't completely empty.
To develop your children's creativity and be trendy at recess, their old school supplies can be decorated with stickers, cut-outs or patches to stick or sew on their supplies.
