But I have a trick, provided you are at least mechanically savvy or have a friend who can tinker with your Titine in two steps, three moves!
Personally, mechanics are not, but not at all my thing! So, before, I had a slight tendency to rush to the local garage for the slightest breakdown.
Error ! Between orders for new parts and labour... Ouch:budget explosion!
There were even times when it would have almost cost me less to buy one!

We don't think about it systematically, but in the scrapyards, we find everything. Provided that our Titine is not too recent, nor built by an obscure manufacturer that no one knows about! (Yes, yes, I swear, there are car brands, we don't know where they come from!)
We can therefore hope to recover all types of parts:from the mirror to the hubcap, through the wing, the seats and even engine parts in good condition!

Well yes, to justify prices up to 80% cheaper than new ones, scrapping is everyone's own.
We go to the reception with our little car shopping list, tools and the manager tells us where we can find our happiness. And there, it's Débrouille Land. Roll up your sleeves and help yourself!
So, if you know nothing about it, it is better to entrust this task to an experienced person around you. Me, it's my friend Yann, he knows all the little secrets of mechanics.
He is very strong this Yann. At first glance under the hood, he knows what I need, the price it would cost me in the garage, the price it will cost me secondhand and even, yes even, in which junkyard to go to find the part in question!
So, now, my car, I entrust it to the hands of an expert 'Es Mécanique. If, like me, you don't have a friend to entrust with Titine's well-being. There are solidarity garages. Professional mechanics help us replace our parts on our own!
At least, once you've learned how to change the carb or its spark plugs, and finally know how to do the oil change, you no longer need to have a Yann on hand!
Except for an aperitif, because he's also super nice as a friend, this Yann!
