The big mistake most laptop owners make is wrapping the charger wire around the charger. It's really a reflex to avoid at all costs:by dint of being rolled up on itself, the wire breaks inside and after a while, it creates a false contact.
The solution, when you have to transport your equipment, is to form a kind of oval with the wire by turning it on itself, without winding it around the charger and without twisting it too much!
This way the wire is not bent too much and will pass it without problems until you change your computer!
