Ever seen a Nutella ad?
This "addictive" chocolate spread is advertised as healthy, even for our children.
And this although it is just liquid chocolate to eat for breakfast.
Ads for Nutella therefore often show us healthy toddlers, greedily eating large slices of bread (very) generously spread with Nutella.
Nutella is sold as a simple "hazelnut paste" that contains no artificial colors or preservatives.
What good, you say?! Well no ! Nutella is anything EXCEPT healthy food.
Indeed, a diagram recently published by the Consumer Center in Hamburg, Germany, revealed what a jar of Nutella actually contained... and it's scary! Watch:

Just with this information, there is enough to be disgusted!
While a jar of Nutella contains only 5 ingredients (palm oil, cocoa, hazelnuts, skimmed milk powder and sugar), a huge half is consisting only of sugar!
Indeed, if we look at the nutritional table on the label, you swallow 21 grams of sugar for 2 teaspoons of Nutella (37 grams of product).
This shows that in reality more than half of its composition is sugar.
Hold on tight, because it's not over!
Palm oil is the other major ingredient in a jar of Nutella.
However, it is a fat that is both bad for the environment and for health.
Indeed, it would be the cause of certain cancers...
The label also mentions that Nutella contains "more than 50 hazelnuts for a 400 gram jar", good cocoa and even milk "good for the bones".
In reality, this gives for a jar of Nutella only 13% hazelnuts, 7% cocoa and only 6% skimmed milk!
Ferrero, the company that produces Nutella, communicates on the subject as follows:
"One of the pillars of Ferrero's nutritional advice is the idea that small portions help people enjoy their favorite foods in moderation.
The labeling of all our products thus allows consumers to make informed choices and include Nutella in a balanced nutritional diet."
We feel that they find it difficult to consider it as a "healthy" product, contrary to what is told in the advertisements intended for our children!
So, clearly, stop dipping your spoon into that jar of Nutella...
