You thought ironing beads were only for kids? Well think again! It is the trendy decorative tool of the moment.
Why ? Because it's cheap, easy to use, and it can be used for everything! Coasters, but also necklaces, small decorative objects, and even toys for children (which they can even create themselves!).
So if you want to know everything about these little magic pearls, it's here.
- a bead plate :kesako? It's a small plate bought for less than 2€ (for example here), on which you will attach the beads to create your pattern, before ironing it. Pay attention to the size, depending on the patterns you plan to make.
- pearls :you can find them everywhere, on the Internet or in creative leisure stores, for about 2€ for 1000 beads , so no worries.
Take the colors that interest you, butBE CAREFUL of the size (MIDI or MAXI) which depends on your plate. I personally recommend MIDI.
- an iron
- parchment paper (yes, the one in your kitchen)
- a model , eventually. You can find them everywhere on the Internet.
1. On your small pearl plate , place your beads according to the pattern you have chosen. If you find the pearls hard to catch, get some tweezers .
2. Once you are happy with your design, place a sheet of parchment paper on it. .
3 . Put on your iron on "silk " or "delicate ", and go over the parchment paper making small circles .
The beads "melt", so be careful not to iron them for too long.
4. Leave to cool, then remove your design from the plate .
There you go, you have an original coaster !
Pearls are not very expensive , and they can be used for many things, so don't hesitate to take advantage of them! To get an idea of what else you can do with it, take a look here.
