Smashing the piñata is the pinnacle of many Mexican celebrations — a birthday, Christmas, or Posada. The piñata is a decorated papier-mâché doll filled with treats that is hung from a rope and taken in turns by revelers blindfolded and armed with a stick. A person on one end of the rope - or sometimes a person on each end - can swing the piñata in an attempt to keep it away from the attacker to make the game last as long as possible. When the piñata breaks, the contents fall to the floor and a rush is made to collect as much loot as possible. This tradition has now spread to the Netherlands and many other countries and is becoming increasingly popular. We have therefore selected 9 nice ones for your child's next party.
